Sita's Chana, a savoury organic tomato pomegranate chickpea curry on a bed of brown basmati rice. Add a chive pudla (Indian chickpea and fava bean flour crêpe) for an extra $2.

The water used in cooking is reverse osmosis purified. The cooking oil used is organic coconut oil. This dish is 100% vegan.

In addition to the cancer-fighting ingredient turmeric, the use of pomegranate seeds and concentrated pomegranate powder provide numerous health benefits. Like most dishes at Vidya's Veggie Gourmet, it's topped with micro-greens that give it an extra nutritional kick. As with all cooked food, our holistic nutritionist recommends a capsule or two of digestive enzymes.

Pomegranate seeds provide 12% of the Daily Value (DV) for vitamin C and 16% DV for vitamin K per 100 g serving, and contain polyphenols, such as ellagitannins and flavonoids, and they are an excellent source of fibre.

Pomegranate seed oil contains punicic acid (65.3%), palmitic acid (4.8%), stearic acid (2.3%), oleic acid (6.3%) and linoleic acid(6.6%).
